Baxter is a global healthcare company with a mission to save and sustain lives. The company provides a broad portfolio of essential medical products, including devices, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, with a focus on advancing patient care in hospitals, homes and other healthcare settings. Their Swinford facility plays a key role in the company’s operations.

Project Overview:

Clever Office was tasked with refurbishing and upgrading an open-plan office at Baxter’s Swinford facility. The goal was to create a modern and efficient workspace, tailored to support the team’s daily activities while providing personal and shared storage solutions. This transformation included integrating new workstations, storage solutions, acoustic features and a private meeting pod.

Client Objective:

To modernise the existing open-plan office, ensuring a clean, contemporary look and incorporating sufficient personal storage and organisation options for each user.

Key Solutions Provided:

  1. Workstations & Storage:
    We introduced the Connect Workstations by EOL, paired with Gustav tall storage units. These units serve a dual purpose, offering personal storage for individual users while also accommodating working files. This ensures that each workstation remains clutter-free and organised.
  2. Workstation Upgrades:
    Each workstation was fitted with a Fellowes Platinum Dual Monitor Arm, maximising desktop space and ergonomic comfort for users. Additionally, the Cove Power Module was installed, providing convenient over-desk power access and USB charging, enhancing efficiency and flexibility.
  3. Acoustic Solutions:
    To improve the acoustics in the open-plan environment, we installed Solange acoustic desktop screens, which effectively reduced noise levels, allowing for a more focused and quieter workspace.
  4. Private Meeting Space:
    Recognizing the need for a secluded space for meetings and focused discussions, we introduced the Go Connect 2-4 Person Acoustic Pod. This pod offers privacy and soundproofing for small team meetings, ensuring that conversations remain confidential and uninterrupted by the open office surroundings.
